Honda Civic Paintless Dent Repair in Pittsburgh, PA

As a paintless dent repair shop/provider, we see all kinds of cars in all different states of wear and tear.  Today, we had a really nice young man stop in the shop with his 2019 Honda Civic.  Really nice car. Red, spoiler on the back…but, it had multiple tiny dings and scuffs on almost every panel.  He said he wanted to get back into going to car shows and such, and asked if we could make his Honda look good again.  We told him he came to right place.  As it turned out, he had 3 dings on the passenger door alone.  The hood had an “outie” dent from closing the hood on a spray can.  The right fender had a door ding right on the bodyline, and finally, the driver’s side quarter panel had been leaned up against and pushed in.  It was a hip sized dent, but very shallow, which was good as there is no access behind that area, so we were able to glue pull that area and smooth it back out.  He left the car with us for a full day, and we were able to repair and remove all the damage from his car and buff the scuffs out.  We worked with him on pricing, as full price, perfect repair would have been north of $1100.  We offered him a “Used Car Cleanup”.  A used car cleanup is where we dial back the perfection of the repair and go more for big moves on the metal and smoothing it out.  It is a beautiful repair, and one most customers are extremely pleased with.  We were able to do that and only charged him $650.  While in the shop, we started talking about car shows, we asked if he’d been to Steel City Cars N’at? We sure hope to see him there! I always like to learn a little bit of history on vehicles we work on.  Here is some interesting background and facts about Honda, and the Honda Civic:

Honda is a renowned Japanese automotive manufacturer, has consistently been a prominent figure in the global automotive industry since its inception in 1948. Among its numerous successes, the Honda Civic stands out as an iconic and timeless model that has left an indelible mark on the automotive landscape.

The company’s journey began in 1948 when Soichiro Honda founded the Honda Motor Co., Ltd. Honda’s early years saw the production of motorcycles, with the company’s first motorcycle, the Dream D-Type, launched in 1949. Honda quickly gained a reputation for its engineering prowess, and by the 1960s, the company had established itself as a leading motorcycle manufacturer in Japan and the world.

In 1972, Honda introduced the Honda Civic, marking its entry into the compact car market. The Civic was a response to the oil crisis of the early 1970s when consumers sought more fuel-efficient and affordable vehicles. The Civic’s fuel efficiency, reliability, and affordability made it an instant success.

Over the years, the Honda Civic went through several generational updates, each one building upon its predecessor’s success. As Honda adapted to changing market demands and technological advancements, the Civic remained a bestseller, achieving numerous accolades and awards for its innovative design and engineering.

FUN FACT!!  Throughout its history, the Honda Civic has been at the forefront of introducing innovative features. Notable examples include the introduction of Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) in the 1990s, which improved engine performance and fuel efficiency. Honda was also among the first to embrace hybrid technology, launching the Civic Hybrid in 2001.

The Honda Civic’s popularity extended far beyond Japan and the United States, where it was initially launched. With each successive generation, the Civic’s reputation for reliability, fuel efficiency, and performance grew, making it a sought-after model in markets worldwide. Its exceptional sales figures and positive reviews from automotive experts solidified its position as a global automotive icon.

The Honda Civic’s influence extended to motorsports, where it became a popular choice for grassroots racing enthusiasts. Modified Civics participated in various motorsport events, showcasing the car’s versatility and potential for performance upgrades.

The Honda Civic’s legacy goes beyond its automotive achievements. It became an integral part of popular culture, often referenced in movies, music, and television shows. In the scene from Fast and Furious where three of the movies’ characters are attempting to hijack a semi, Domenic Toretto, Leon, and Letty Ortiz are all driving Honda Civics.

The Honda Civic also appeared in both Gone in 60 Seconds and Pulp Fiction. Its association with reliability and practicality made it a symbol of pragmatic living for many individuals and families.

In recent years, Honda has been actively focusing on sustainability and environmental responsibility. As global concern about climate change and emissions intensified, Honda committed to producing more eco-friendly vehicles, including electric and hydrogen fuel cell models. The Civic, being one of Honda’s core models, is likely to benefit from these advancements, further solidifying its relevance in a changing automotive landscape.  If you are someone who takes carbon footprints, recycling, and the planets climate seriously, that is even more reason to take a look at Paintless Dent Repair!  Here is an excerpt from and article we wrote:

Paintless dent repair, on the other hand, does not generate any waste and does not require any harsh chemicals or solvents. This makes it a more environmentally friendly option compared to conventional body shop repairs. Vehicle pollutants harm our health and contain greenhouse gases that cause climate change. Burning gasoline and diesel fuel creates harmful byproducts like nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, benzene, and formaldehyde. In addition, vehicles emit carbon dioxide, which is the most common human-caused greenhouse gas.
