We had a customer call us a couple weeks ago with a dent on his brand new 2023 Mazda Cx9. Here’s a quick overview of the car:
- Design and Exterior
The Mazda CX-9 showcases Mazda’s Kodo design philosophy, which emphasizes elegance, fluidity, and attention to detail. Its exterior is characterized by clean lines, a prominent grille, and striking LED headlights, giving the CX-9 a sophisticated and athletic appearance. The sleek and aerodynamic silhouette is complemented by available 18 or 20-inch alloy wheels, further enhancing its overall appeal.
2. Interior and Comfort
Step inside the CX-9, and you’ll be greeted by a thoughtfully designed cabin that exudes luxury and comfort. The use of high-quality materials, including premium leather and real wood accents, creates an upscale atmosphere. The three-row seating configuration accommodates up to seven passengers, with ample legroom and headroom in all rows.
The CX-9 prioritizes passenger comfort with available heated and ventilated front seats, as well as heated second-row seats. Additionally, the available tri-zone automatic climate control allows each occupant to customize their temperature preferences. The cabin is exceptionally quiet, thanks to Mazda’s innovative sound insulation technology, ensuring a serene driving experience.
3. Technology and Connectivity
The Mazda CX-9 boasts a suite of advanced technologies, designed to enhance convenience, entertainment, and safety. The centerpiece of the dashboard is the Mazda Connect infotainment system, which features an 8-inch touchscreen display. It supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enabling seamless smartphone integration for navigation, music streaming, and hands-free communication.
For audiophiles, the available Bose premium sound system delivers immersive audio quality throughout the cabin. Other notable technology features include a heads-up display, a rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, and a multifunctional steering wheel with audio and cruise control functions.
4. Performance and Efficiency
Under the hood, the Mazda CX-9 is powered by a responsive and efficient 2.5-liter SKYACTIV-G turbocharged engine. This powertrain generates 227 horsepower with regular fuel and an impressive 250 horsepower with premium fuel. The engine is mated to a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission, providing seamless acceleration and effortless cruising.
Mazda’s i-ACTIV AWD system is available for improved traction and handling in various driving conditions. The G-Vectoring Control Plus technology enhances stability and responsiveness by adjusting power delivery during cornering, ensuring a dynamic and engaging driving experience.

What a Sweet car!! Now when I say new, I mean It Was Still On The Car Lot!!!! Can you imagine? His son opened the door of his old car, to grab something and move it to the new Mazda. He threw the door open, and it dinged right off of the new Mazda’s left rear door. Seriously, all he could do was shake his head, and call Dent Repair Now. He sent us this picture, and from that and the information he provided, we were able to provide him with an accurate estimate to repair his door panel. We had an opening and got him in the same week. His repair took about an hour and a half. He was thrilled with the results, and we were happy to have helped him. We were able to repair this dent using our push tools and tap downs. Another fantastic paintless dent repair. What is paintless dent repair? I’m glad you asked! Paintless dent repair (or removal) is also known as PDR. It is used when a car sustains cosmetic damage (i.e. a dent, ding, or “damage”). Trained technicians use industry specific rods, hammers, and other tools to move and manipulate the metal back to its original position, removing any trace of the damage. This service can be done on both steel and aluminum vehicle panels although aluminum panels are much more difficult to repair. Our goal is to gain access to the back side of the damage. This is relatively easy on door panels, and fenders. If the dent is in the door and access is obstructed by the crash brace, or its on the lower side of the door which inhibits having enough leverage to effectively push, we can take the door’s interior panel off and use access points that are already there. If the dent is in your quarter panel, access most likely is extremely limited. A very high percentage of quarter panels (no matter the year, make, or model) are welded to the frame making access extremely limited if not impossible. If that’s the case, we change our repair plan to glue pull repair (GPR). You can learn more about glue pulling in our article titled Glue Pulling in Pittsburgh Pa located on our blog.
