What a Sweet car!!  Now when I say new, I mean It Was Still On The Car Lot!!!!  Can you imagine?  His son opened the door of his old car, to grab something and move it to the new Mazda. He threw the door open, and it dinged right off of the new Mazda’s left rear door.  Seriously, all he could do was shake his head, and call Dent Repair Now.  He sent us this picture, and from that and the information he provided, we were able to provide him with an accurate estimate to repair his door panel.  We had an opening and got him in the same week.  His repair took about an hour and a half.  He was thrilled with the results, and we were happy to have helped him.  We were able to repair this dent using our push tools and tap downs.  Another fantastic paintless dent repair.  What is paintless dent repair?  I’m glad you asked!  Paintless dent repair (or removal) is also known as PDR.  It is used when a car sustains cosmetic damage (i.e. a dent, ding, or “damage”).  Trained technicians use industry specific rods, hammers, and other tools to move and manipulate the metal back to its original position, removing any trace of the damage.  This service can be done on both steel and aluminum vehicle panels although aluminum panels are much more difficult to repair. Our goal is to gain access to the back side of the damage.  This is relatively easy on door panels, and fenders.  If the dent is in the door and access is obstructed by the crash brace, or its on the lower side of the door which inhibits having enough leverage to effectively push, we can take the door’s interior panel off and use access points that are already there. If the dent is in your quarter panel, access most likely is extremely limited.  A very high percentage of quarter panels (no matter the year, make, or model) are welded to the frame making access extremely limited if not impossible.  If that’s the case, we change our repair plan to glue pull repair (GPR).  You can learn more about glue pulling in our article titled Glue Pulling in Pittsburgh Pa located on our blog.

If you or someone you know has dents, dings, or damage to their car, truck or SUV, give us a call at 724-554-1756.  You can also text us pictures at the same number. (Pictures are almost always really helpful in providing an estimate.)  If you’re not sure you can get a good picture of the damage, you should watch this short video with Four Easy Steps explaining how to take the best picture of your damage.

We also have an article written addressing how to get the most accurate estimate.  You can read it here:  What Is The Best Way To Get An Estimate For PDR?

You have a few options to get an estimate.  You can call or visit our website dentrepairnow.com and fill out a form with your information, the year and model of your vehicle, and some pictures of your damage.  We can put together an estimate and call you.  If you are more of an in-person kind of person, you can visit our shop located at 4699 Campbells Run Road Pittsburgh Pa 15205.  We are right off of the parkway 376 West at the Campbells Run Exit.  Make a left, and we are right there, on the left.  You do not need an appointment to come and see us, however, we do recommend calling first as our trained, experienced technicians get called out to service dealerships and body shops quite often.  We’re waiting to make your car look as good as new!!  What are YOU waiting for?
