This training program offers professional guidance from expert instructors and the opportunity to hone your skillsets with some hands-on instruction from the staff. The training program includes classroom instruction, lab time with various firearms, and live fire training opportunities. Students will learn how to clean firearms, maintain them properly, shoot safely and more. They’ll also learn how to make sound decisions about gun qualifications according to Pennsylvania law as well as aspects of Range Safety Officer responsibilities.
The live fire range at Keystone has four shooting stations. There are three steel targets and one target with a red-dot sight on it. There are also two H&K G3 match grade rifles that you can use to practice your skills. The range also includes a covered berm for those who would like to take cover from the wind while shooting.
