We are located in the Pittsburgh area of Southwest Pennsylvania. Our shop is located at 4699 Campbells Run Road Pittsburgh Pa 15205 That is in Robinson, not the city. That’s right next to I376 (The Parkway) just off of the Campbells Run Road exit if you’re coming from I79 or Downtown Pittsburgh. If you’re coming from the airport area you have to use the Ridge Road exit and then turn right on to Campbells Run Road.
Like most paintless dent repair providers, our company started out completely mobile. Dent Repair Now was created by our owner Gene Fetty who is an expert in all things related to paintless dent repair. For years, Gene traveled by himself to car dealerships and body shops creating relationships and networking with other companies and people in the automotive industry. He worked diligently growing the business and an impeccable reputation for hard work and integrity. After a few years, he brought on another technician and the business grew even more. Still focusing on paintless dent repair, Gene moved toward the retail side bringing experience and knowledge to people who didn’t know this type of repair existed. So, while one technician focused on wholesale repairs and worked to maintain a steady weekly schedule, Dent Repair Now was being introduced to the public. Through word of mouth and strategic marketing, the company has grown substantially, and in 2018 we opened our brick-and-mortar shop!
This shop allowed us to grow in our capabilities and what type of repairs we could offer. We were no longer restrained by the limits of mobile repairs. What limitations are there you ask? Let me list them for you!
1. Location So there are a few things under this heading that can cause issues with repairs. Parking garages. If you’ve ever tried to find a parking spot in a Pittsburgh parking garage, you know how insanely difficult it would be to get a spot next to or near to a customer that parked their vehicle early in the morning. By the time we get there, the only spots available were 3 levels away. Running back and forth from the client’s car to our truck to grab a battery light, or a different tool was not an efficient way to spend the day. Another thing, off street parking in many of Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods is rare, and not the norm. It’s really dangerous for a technician to be working on a car on the street-side! Paintless dent repair technicians do not get hazard pay!
Lastly, some of our clients live far away from city life, and with that sometimes comes bad cell service. That can make it difficult to call ahead with an estimated time of arrival or to call to get directions when google maps isn’t quite clear.
2. Weather Weather has a definite impact on mobile repairs. If it’s raining, snowing, too cold, or too hot our technicians have a very difficult time making the best repair possible. Rain can make the specialized lighting they use to see the details of the dent useless. Water reflects light and makes the appearance of ripples exaggerated or invisible. Both are not ideal. If your car surface is too hot from being in the sun or if it is too cold, it can affect the paint and make it brittle or to pliable to pull. A garage is a great benefit when working on a mobile repair. Want to see a mobile repair from back in the day? You can watch this short video and see Gene work his magic!
3. Distance We service a pretty large area ranging from Franklin, Pa to Allegheny County, Washington County, and Greene County in Pennsylvania to Wheeling and Morgantown West Virginia, St Clairsville, Ohio, and even Garret County, Maryland. Even when doing our best to schedule repairs in close proximity to each other on the same day, drive time still limits how many repairs we can do in any given day. This affects our customers in that they have longer wait times to schedule a repair.
The good news is you can get your dent or damage repaired in a multitude of ways. If your repair qualifies, you can choose for us to come to you. Qualifications? Repair cost under $500. No removal of panels (doors or lift gates) required for repair, and an efficient place to work. If bringing your car or truck to our shop is not convenient for you, we have a few bodyshops in our service area that partner with that will accommodate repairs. If you are North of the shop, we travel to Klapec Auto Body in Cranberry. We partner with Opeka as well. They have multiple locations in the McMurry/South Hills/Canonsburg area. If you are West of the shop, we work in Wheeling at Elm Grove Collision and South of the shop we have places in Waynesburg Pa. We have partnered with Center Service and Freedom Collision in the Morgantown area. On occasion, we have traveled to Nu Finish in Garrett County Maryland. Lastly, bringing your vehicle to our shop is our most preferred option. We have everything here to go above and beyond for our customers. Also, you have the option to drop off your vehicle or wait on your repair. We can keep wait time to schedule much shorter than if we were still completely mobile.
